Edward Donovan is the Solution Architect at Bytemark. Edward works with transit agencies and technology partners to define the architecture of a system to be delivered in the context of a specific solution. Working at Bytemark since 2016, he has designed and developed robust, complex systems that comply with a client’s requirements. Prior to his Solution Architect role, Edward excelled in Bytemark’s R&D department as a Hardware / Solution Engineer. His development and delivery of the AirGate solution to the RSSB Future Railways Contest won ‘Ticketing Technology of the Year 2018’ at Transport Ticketing Global. Edward previously worked as an Electrical Engineer in New Product Development for an Access Control Systems provider. He has been named the inventor in two existing patents and several pending patents. With nearly a decade of professional experience in innovation across two industries, Edward has extensive technical insight from low-level hardware design to high-level software architectural patterns. Edward graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a degree in Physics. He has developed a passion for improving the transit experience for agencies and customers through innovative and disruptive solutions.
